I have been sleeping in during the day lately and I’m up all night, i joke with my friend that i am in a night shift until further notice. So basically my life has changed, i am officially a night owl as they say for now 😉. Even though i know it’s a temporary season it has been hard for me to move past this feeling of being stuck. I feel like I am doing a lot but at the same time I still have unsatisfied feeling of being in a place where i want to be. I have heard of this thing called mom guilty and right now i understand it more especially when both needs me at the same time😃. When you have to reply to an urgent email and the kids want your attention. Say less, wanting to step out of the house but you’re so tired or have so much in your plate that you can’t afford a minute out.
I am actually there mama and one thing you need to remember is, it’s normal to feel stuck, even the most successful people feel stuck sometimes. Mom guilt is normal as well, as mothers we tend to feel that way and mostly important is, you can stop feeling stuck and start your progress right away and here is how 🤔.
So I have come up with few things that I am doing differently to stop feeling stuck.
THINGS YOU CAN DO TO STOP FEELING STUCK.
- Stop Comparing where you’re with someone you do not know about.
It’s a killer of joy 😊. When we see how others are doing we tend to feel left out, now with social media life is painted with a different brush, everyone is winning on social media and everything is perfect as well. We should be mindful with what we see, what we read and what we watch.
- Learning new skill
So this one was a game changer for me. what i do daily i explore different dimension of life by learning something new. Since im home most of the time i have started gardening, seeing how the veggies grow or the flowers bloom right in my eyes has been a master class therapy for me, so if you have something you have wanted to try please do.
- Loving myself more
So it may sound selfish but thinking about it this way, you can not pour from an empty cup. we also give what we have and so if you’re full of love it will reflect to your family and friends. IÂ now understand this and its one thing you should try too.
- Spend time with my kids more, which means more park trips and more places to explore with them.
Now this one is what made me share with you these tricks because when i started being intentional about spending more time with my toddlers and set apart more time with them, everything changed with me, i smile more and im happy with them.
- Spend time with those i love more.
Being around those you feel safe with, whether its family or friends. Stay close to those who believe in you, those who wish good for you, those who pray for you, those who mention your name when opportunities show up. Those who lift your spirit , those who reminds you of your talents, blessings and your value. i can go on and on on this one but lets say stick with them and you will be happy with the results.
