I have been pregnant, my body providing and care for my children for 5 years in a row now. Pregnancy, nursing, postpartum if you ask me now i will say its the most beautiful experience and i’m proud to be a Woman, been blessed to bring forth my next generation . I finally had an opportunity to explore the part of me I never knew existed. I have become more compassionate, loving, kind, and more spiritually mature.
Being able to dive into my feminine magic and divine creation as a woman has made me feel so special. I fell in love with the different version of myself, God has and is continuing to transform my spirit while giving me so much more than i could ever fathom to pray for. My gratitude i cant put into words, i love… being a mother.
But as i continue to enjoy the season that i am in, something in me become a seed to my curiosity, i know in life we can become many different versions of ourselves but how much time do we spend investing in that future self?
Burning question to ask yourself if you want to change for better:-
- How much time do you spend investing in that future self? I still remember how much i didn’t like the way i look after my first baby, i wasted my downtime thinking about my appearance and forget to invest in myself through learning something new, a skill or a new hobby just to invest in my mindset.
- How do you spend your downtime? If you’re a mom like me, in my down time i like to be entertained, go back to unfinished series or scroll on social media, i felt like it was helping me relax until i realized its what takes most of my time. I would say there is nothing wrong with that but curving a portion of that time and invest in my future through learning was the best thing for me.
- What can you do to improve your thinking? Reading is my favorite, find the perfect book or watching something you can learn from, for me i’m more likely to read than watch so choose what’s best for you as long as your investing in your future.
- Whats the best place to work on your mindset?I read in my closet, if you have a quiet place around you, where your mind can concentrate and do something for you its better than nothing at all.
- What’s the best time to do so? Growing up i use to tell my mom that she is always have something to do, i felt like she didn’t have a break, but if you ask me now i always have something to do, be it cleaning every time i see dust, arranging things around the house, kids calling me every second, i have become a super multitasker, But something that i have learnt through this season is that, if you don’t schedule it, it wont happen ooh yeah. so schedule time, and its not about can you or can’t you. Its ….will you or won’t you?
- Why and What do you want to change? So changes happens but not everyone wants to change, some are happy with where they are and some needs to change, if you really want to change for better self, its crucial to understand and be specific with what and why you need to change, this will help you have a map on where your heading.
My children became my why, the strength they give me mentally has helped me overcome all of the challenges. I want to motivate my son and daughter to be what they want to be in life, follow their hearts and go beyond my footsteps.
